After each new harvest, the grain must be "cleaned" so that only the pure grain remains. We drive to Geleen for spelt, where there is one of the two factories in the Netherlands that can do this. Of the 1240 kg we started with, 830 kg ultimately remained, a difference of 410 kg!!
