Objectives Policy Plan Remuneration Policy

Our objectives:

1) Maintaining the mill;

2) Maintaining the mill as an original grain mill;

3) Training volunteers to become certified millers.

4) The board meets at least four times a year. During these meetings, current and future developments are exchanged.

In order to achieve the aforementioned objectives, the Foundation Board, in collaboration with the volunteer millers affiliated with the mill, promotes and undertakes all kinds of activities that are related to and/or related to this or that can be useful for the purpose in the broadest sense of the word. The activities will be carried out without any obligation. take place on a profit-making or commercial basis. The activities can be divided into:

Weekly or monthly activities;

Annual activities;

Incidental activities.

Weekly or monthly activities:

Every week, volunteers will be trained to become skilled millers under the guidance of a certified miller. The goal is to keep a mill running regularly. This improves the condition of the mill. If the mill is stationary, the interior will wear harder. Training volunteer millers yourself ensures continuity. . In addition, the mill is regularly opened to the public, with guided tours given by the miller or employee. In this way, the cultural-historical aspect of mills in the Netherlands is preserved for the Etten-Leurs and Brabant population. When viewing the mill, visitors are asked to make a voluntary contribution to the maintenance of the mill.

Annual activities:

During annual events at the port of Leurs, the foundation will try to support these by providing its cooperation by running the mill and opening it to the public.

Incidental activities:

The foundation occasionally makes the mill available to other organizations. A fee is charged for making it available.

Assets and remuneration policy:

Millers and employees, including the board, are volunteers. No board member is entitled to compensation, except for costs actually incurred. The management of the Foundation's assets rests with the board. By raising funds and donations, the foundation tries to achieve cost-covering annual operations.
